Meter and Accessories
Ferrites India has developed versatile meters and coils to cover requirements of magnetic testing.
Small but accurate devices enhance the reach of magnetic testing.
These equipments are very useful in basic level measurements and guide the user measure some of the magnetic phenomenon on the go.
These devices include measurements of flux, flux density, magnet polarity, High Peak current through coils, Reference magnets etc.

Gaussmeter
The Ferrites India make Gaussmeters with the help of Hall Probe as a detector are capable of giving direct reading of magnetic field values.
These gaussmeters are very good for Laboratory, Industry and field studies. They are made handy, sturdy and are capable of giving correct results under hostile conditions.
As the inherent property of digital readout, the instrument has quick response to varying fields, good readability and good accuracy of measurement.
It therefore can make visible small and fast variations in magnetic fields which are not possible on an Analog Gaussmeter.
Ferrites India make gaussmeters have traceability to NABL accredited laboratory.
Specifications:
- Calibration:Digital gaussmeter is calibrated against a reference magnet. It comes with the calibration certificate traceable to NPL, Delhi.
- Measurement features: AC, DC, Differential
- Max reading rate: 1 rdg/s
- Temperature range: Probe dependent (typically 0 °C to 75 °C )
- Display resolution: To ±31/2 digits
- Display units: Gauss (G)

Fluxmeter
Flux meter has been the established standard for the measurement of magnetic flux density for determining total flux in a magnet or magnetic assembly. Its use was curtailed except in a few specialized areas because of many factors such as the difficulty in setting up light beam flux meter or ballistic galvanometers, limitations on the ohmic resistance of search coils, the requirement of some degree of operator skill in reading the flux meter etc. The development of the integrating type Digital Flux meter has virtually cancelled the hitherto negative aspects of fluxmeterology and has found a broad niche for many magnetic measurement applications.
The integrating type Digital Flux meter overcomes all the drawbacks and limitations associated with the earlier type of instruments.Search coil ohmic resistance is of no consequence insofar as instrument damping is concerned. Physical installation of the flux meter is simple with no special levelling requirements and ease of readability of the digital instrument is straightforward for any class of operator.
The digital readout also enhances resolution and accuracy of readings.
Integrating type Digital Flux meter developed by us is capable of giving space or time varying flux values in any coil by integrating the induced emf.
Specifications:
- Integrating type Digital Fluxmeter is capable of giving space or time varying flux values in any coil by inte-grating the induced emf.
- The instrument has three and half digit LED display. It has four ranges of measurements indicating flux values from 0.1 KMT (Kilo Maxwell Turns) to 2*105 KMT.
- The four ranges are selectable with the help of push button switches.
- The instrument has arrangement to minimize the drift and a reset push button to reset the displayed flux read-ing to zero.
- The instrument offers analog voltage output proportional to the displayed value of flux that can be used for recording or data acquisition.
- The instrument offers facility for connecting remote reset switch.
• The instrument is table top type and works on 230 volts 50Hz mains supply.

Pole Detector
Pole detectors are used only to check the polarity of the magnet.
It is used where magnet strength is not required to be measured.
FI make pole detectors are rugged and handheld to make them useful in the field.
Pole detector unit is battery operated.
As per user requirement, a relay module can be attached to it for interfacing with other controller systems.

Helmholtz Coil
In the measurement of magnetic fields by means of Hall probes or measuring coils it is necessary to calibrate the instruments in a known magnetic field. Our standard field coil according to Helmholtz enables the production of a magnetic field calculable with high accuracy from the dimensions and the amperage. In series arrangement with an accurate ammeter field strengths of up to 800A/cm are produced. The field room is accessible both in axial and radial direction.
Helmholtz coils with fluxmeters are also useful in testing of magnets. Helmholtz coils give repeatable results as against the search coils due to which the magnets can be compared with more accuracy for their total flux and in tern their quality.
Field Generating and Field Detecting Helmholtz coils are designed as per user specifications.

Rogowski Coil
Rogowski Coils are mainly used to measure high current through the conductor.
As opposed to conventional current transformers, Rogowski Coils are liner over wide range of current input.
Rogowski Coils along with current meter are suitable for measurement of AC or DC current, up to few thousand amperes.
Ferrites India offers Flexible as well as hard Rogowksi Coil which can accommodate wide conductor sizes.

Magnetic Powder Testing
It is very important to measure the content of magnetic allow in toner powder. The accuracy with which the measurements are carried out determines the quality of the powder.
Fluxmeter with a specially made coil can give accurate results of the percentage quantity of the magnetic material in the toner powder.

Reference Magnet
Reference magnets generate a homogeneous magnetic field in an air gap. They are mainly used to calibrate hall probes for their full scale value of output for the magnetic field strength H or the magnetic flux density B they measure. For example Gaussmeter scan be calibrated by using reference magnets.

Zero Field Cavity
Zero field cavities generate a zero magnetic field in an air gap. They are mainly used to calibrate hall probes for their zero scale value of output for the magnetic field strength H or the magnetic flux density B they measure. For example Gaussmeter scan be calibrated by using Zero Field Cavity.
